Glimpse: Memory Picture Puzzle for iPhone, and this website · Last updated 1 October 2026
The short version: Glimpse has no account and no server of ours. Your game progress stays on your iPhone. The free game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google may process device data to show and measure them; personalised ads only with your consent. Purchases are handled by Apple. This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is Szirtes Dániel egyéni vállalkozó (a Hungarian sole proprietor; tax ID 69538711-2-43), registered seat 1116 Budapest, Tó utca 14., Hungary, email info@glimpsepuzzle.com ("we", "us").
2. The Glimpse app
2.1 No account; your progress stays on your device
Glimpse never asks you to sign in. Your progress, coins, helpers, lives, settings, cosmetics and the status of your purchases are stored in the app's storage on your iPhone. We do not receive them. iOS includes this data in your device backups (iCloud Backup or your computer) as Apple handles them. You can delete it at any time with Settings → Reset game progress in the app, or by deleting the app.
The app also keeps a small on-device log of game events (for example, which level was played and which helper was used) to help with troubleshooting. It never leaves your device; the app has no way of sending it to us.
2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Glimpse shows ads: a full-screen ad between pictures, banners on the Gallery and Trophies screens, and reward videos that you can choose to watch. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). To deliver, measure and protect ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK in the app processes:
- device and app information (device model, iOS version, language, app version);
- your IP address and an approximate location derived from it;
- advertising identifiers: Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, otherwise identifiers that cannot be used to track you across other companies' apps;
- information about the ads you see and tap, and diagnostic data.
Your choices. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app shows Google's consent form before any ads, where you decide whether Google may show you personalised ads. You can change your decision at any time in Settings → Privacy choices in the app. On every device, iOS asks whether Glimpse may track you ("Your data is used to show ads that are more relevant to you"); if you choose Ask App Not to Track, the IDFA is not shared. Without consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use data for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
Legal bases: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalised advertising and for storing or reading information on your device where consent is required; our legitimate interest in funding a free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for non-personalised ads and fraud prevention. Google acts as an independent controller for its own purposes; see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
If you buy No Ads, the app no longer shows full-screen or banner ads. The only ads left are the reward videos, and those play only when you tap to watch one in exchange for a reward, such as a free helper or extra coins.
2.3 Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple, which acts as the seller of record. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks your purchases on the device with Apple's StoreKit, and we receive only aggregated sales reports from Apple.
2.4 Picture downloads and Apple services
As you progress, the app downloads further picture packs from Apple's servers (On-Demand Resources). These requests go to Apple, not to us. If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us aggregated, non-identifying crash reports and usage statistics. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to these services.
2.5 Permissions
Glimpse does not use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or precise location, and it sends no notifications. The only permission it asks for is Apple's tracking prompt described above.
3. This website
glimpsepuzzle.com is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and keeps short-lived server logs for security and abuse prevention. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Support email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the contents of your message to answer you. We delete or anonymise support correspondence when it is no longer needed, at the latest 24 months after the case is closed. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Data transfers and retention
Google and Vercel may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Data on your device stays until you reset the game or delete the app. Google keeps advertising data according to its own policies; website logs are kept only briefly.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because we hold no data about your play, most requests are answered by the controls above: Reset game progress, Privacy choices, the iOS tracking setting, and Google's My Ad Center. For anything else, write to info@glimpsepuzzle.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
7. Children
Glimpse is a general-audience game made for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process their personal data.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
